Kitchen 104
Hi guys!! In youtube speak đ. I hope you've missed my posts. I've missed blogging. It's been quite a bizarre couple of weeks with work, falling ill and organising Christmas goodies and cards for friends back home in England and family in the motherland in Nigeria.
Social media is such a blessing when it's used properly. I connected with a great vendor on instagram @shaystreats [I do know her personally and I love her stuff so much I actually pay for it] and she's hooking me up for some Christmas surprises... can I get a whoop whoop!!
Okay so back to some simple hacks...
1. Do you use your blender for chillies but also smoothies? Most blenders actually have blades that unscrew from the bottom so that you can wash the jug separately from the blades...it's much safer cleaning this way. Sometimes though you might get into a bit of a lazy place and need an easy hack...2 lemon or lime quarters and half a cup of water, start the blender back up for 20 seconds then rinse thoroughly! Voila! Disinfected and clean blades and a fresh smelling blender without the hassle!
2. Cleaning your sink after an oily meal...1 tbsp baking soda and 2 tbsp lemon juice. Use your sponge to spread it all over the sink and then rinse! Fresh and shiny sink restored!
3. Nothing's worse than having smells lingering in the kitchen particularly after some deep frying action's taken place. Put 1tbsp vinegar and 4 tbsp water in a bowl and mix. Grab a cloth and dip it in the diluted mixture and then wring out the liquid. Go over your walls and surfaces with the cloth, making sure to dip it back in the liquid and wring out a few times as you go along. You'll need to crack open a window to ventilate for about 5 mins but once that's done, you'll find the smell is gone! Just don't leave the used oil or cooked food uncovered and lying around. That's half the reason the smell lingers to begin with!
